Homoeopathic Approaches to Managing Post-Extraction Pain and Healing in Dental Surgery

Garima Thakur, Preeti Dayal

Abstract

Introduction: Dental extractions often result in considerable pain and delayed healing. Homoeopathic medicine offers a range of remedies purported to alleviate pain and promote healing. This study examines the effectiveness of these remedies in post-extraction scenarios.

Methods: A clinical trial involving 100 patients who underwent dental extractions was conducted. Participants were divided into a control group and a treatment group receiving homoeopathic remedies such as Hypericum and Calendula.

Results: The homoeopathic group reported significantly lower pain levels and faster healing times compared to the control group. The incidence of complications such as dry socket was also reduced.

Discussion: These outcomes suggest that homoeopathic remedies can effectively complement traditional post-extraction care, potentially improving patient comfort and recovery.
