Abstract: Rasa Sindura, a mercury-based formulation, is a cornerstone of classical Indian alchemy (Rasashastra). Traditional methods of preparing Rasa Sindura have been practiced for centuries; however, modern scientific advancements provide new approaches that emphasize safety, efficacy, and standardization. This paper compares classical and modern techniques for preparing Rasa Sindura, evaluating their advantages, limitations, and impact on the quality and therapeutic efficacy of the product. The study also discusses the importance of integrating modern analytical techniques for quality assurance and safety assessment.
