Abstract: Ayurveda, an ancient system of medicine originating from India, has gained global recognition for its holistic approach to healthcare. Ayurvedic medicines, based on traditional knowledge and herbal formulations, have been used for centuries to treat various ailments. However, ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of Ayurvedic medicines presents challenges due to the diverse nature of the ingredients and formulations used. This paper aims to explore the advances made in the standardization and quality control of Ayurvedic medicines while highlighting the remaining challenges and potential solutions. The paper discusses the importance of standardization and quality control in Ayurvedic medicine, outlines current regulatory frameworks, explores analytical techniques, and addresses the need for collaboration between stakeholders to ensure the safety and efficacy of Ayurvedic medicines.
