Sneha Iyer, Rajeev Bhattacharya, Prof. Dinesh Kumar Singh

Abstract

This paper explores the integration of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) to support the shift toward mass customization in modern industrial operations. By leveraging RPA technologies, manufacturers can achieve significant agility, minimize human error, and utilize resources more efficiently. The study examines the conceptual framework of RPA, its synergy with FMS, and practical implementations across various sectors. Moreover, it investigates the challenges and future potential of RPA in reconfigurable production systems. Empirical analysis and illustrative use cases demonstrate how RPA fosters operational excellence and responsiveness in volatile markets.
