Abstract:Â Rangelands sustain large numbers of livestock and are home to the largest number of wild grazers and browsers than are other environmental regions. They have, moreover, a fundamental importance to the survival and economy of many peoples, and play an important ecological role on a global scale. The ecological and economic importance of rangelands will be even greater in the future.
