Abstract : The evolution of the manufacturing sector has entered a transformative phase known as Industry 4.0, driven by the integration of advanced digital technologies. At the heart of this revolution are Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), which bridge the physical and digital realms to enable smart, autonomous, and adaptive manufacturing processes. CPS incorporates embedded systems, IoT, real-time data analytics, and machine learning to form intelligent networks that revolutionize production systems. This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the principles, applications, and transformative impact of Cyber-Physical Systems in Industry 4.0. It explores how CPS supports smart factories, predictive maintenance, autonomous decision-making, and resource optimization. The challenges associated with cybersecurity, interoperability, workforce readiness, and infrastructure are also discussed. The study concludes with insights into the future scope of CPS in achieving resilient, sustainable, and agile manufacturing systems.
