Abstract : Manual lay up of carbon fibre plies remains labour intensive and error prone. We overlay high contrast seam lines and overlap cues onto smart glasses, driven by depth sensor alignment. In trials, novice operators achieved 4.8 mm mean positional error—comparable to experts—and cut rework hours by 40 %. Subjective workload scores also declined.
