Abstract : Digital simulation has emerged as a transformative tool in the quest for industrial excellence, enabling real-time visualization, analysis, and enhancement of complex processes. By replicating real-world operations in virtual environments, industries can test variables, optimize resource allocation, and minimize waste without physical disruptions. This paper explores the theoretical underpinnings of digital simulation, tools commonly employed, and case studies that demonstrate its efficacy in diverse sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and construction. A particular emphasis is placed on discrete event simulation, agent-based modeling, and system dynamics as leading techniques. The paper further analyzes how simulation integrates with modern technologies like IoT, AI, and digital twins to foster adaptive, lean, and efficient systems. It concludes with discussions on limitations, future scope, and ethical considerations, asserting digital simulation as a cornerstone of modern process optimization strategies.
