Abstract: Smart manufacturing is characterized by increased automation and interconnected systems. This paper examines the role of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) in enabling real-time decision-making and operational efficiency. Case studies from automotive and pharmaceutical industries illustrate the implementation and benefits of DCS in smart manufacturing setups.
