Abstract: The rapid expansion of mobile applications has reshaped how individuals communicate, learn, shop, and access essential services. However, this digital growth has not always been inclusive. A significant portion of the population, including people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments, continues to face barriers while using mobile applications. Accessibility in mobile app UI/UX design is therefore not a peripheral concern but a fundamental requirement for equitable digital participation. This paper explores core UI/UX design principles for accessibility in mobile applications, emphasizing practical design strategies, standards compliance, and user-centered methodologies. Key accessibility challenges are identified, followed by design principles such as perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness. The paper also discusses assistive technologies, inclusive interaction patterns, and evaluation techniques. Tables and two-dimensional figures are included to summarize guidelines and illustrate accessible interface layouts. The study concludes that accessibility-driven UI/UX design not only benefits users with disabilities but also enhances usability for all users, leading to improved engagement, satisfaction, and market reach.
