Abstract: Voice-based interaction has become an increasingly important component of mobile user interfaces, driven by the rise of intelligent assistants such as Siri. This paper explores the usability of iOS voice interactions, focusing on Siri extensions and their integration into third-party applications. We review current research, design principles, and user behavior patterns, emphasizing the impact on accessibility, efficiency, and user satisfaction. Through a comprehensive literature review and comparative usability analysis, we highlight the challenges faced by developers and end-users, including speech recognition accuracy, context-aware responses, and intuitive voice command design. The paper also identifies trends and best practices for improving Siri extension usability in the iOS ecosystem. Findings suggest that wellimplemented voice interactions significantly enhance user engagement and accessibility, while poor integration may result in low adoption rates and frustration.
