Abstract: With the rapid growth of mobile applications and digital payment systems, security of transactions has become a major concern for users and developers. Android, being the most widely used mobile operating system globally, is a primary target for security threats such as data tampering, identity theft, and unauthorized access. Blockchain technology, known for its decentralized, immutable, and transparent nature, has emerged as a promising solution to enhance transaction security in mobile environments. This paper presents a comprehensive review of blockchain integration in Android mobile applications, focusing on secure transaction processing. It discusses the fundamental concepts of blockchain, different blockchain architectures, and their applicability in Android-based systems. The paper also analyzes integration approaches, tools, and frameworks used for implementing blockchain in Android apps. Challenges related to performance, scalability, energy consumption, and usability are examined in detail. Additionally, real-world use cases such as mobile payments, supply chain tracking, identity verification, and healthcare applications are reviewed. The study concludes by highlighting future research directions and emphasizing the potential of blockchain to transform secure mobile transactions in Android ecosystems.
