Abstract: The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in autonomous driving systems marks a significant leap towards the realization of fully self-driving vehicles. AI algorithms enhance perception, decision-making, and control mechanisms, enabling vehicles to navigate complex environments with minimal human intervention. This paper examines the role of AI in object detection, predictive modeling, adaptive control, and ethical decision-making in autonomous driving. The research also explores the challenges of AI integration, including data reliability, safety, legal concerns, and computational limitations. Advancements in deep learning, sensor fusion, and reinforcement learning are discussed, alongside the impact of AI on the future of transportation.
