Abstract: Bangladesh enters the 21st facing a vastly different external economic environment than the one it inhabited for the last 46 years and devised economic policies for. Like other developing countries, Bangladesh had inherited the framework of the liberalized global world economy and is in the midst of opening its economy to the inflow of trade and investment from beyond its borders. This paper empirically investigates the growth in trade and investment between Bangladesh and China, India and the United States to understand future economic cooperation and development.
