Abstract:Natural products derived from plants, animals, and microorganisms have been utilized in traditional medicine systems for centuries. These resources have served as a valuable source of therapeutic agents, providing treatments for various ailments. In recent times, there has been a resurgence of interest in natural products due to their diverse chemical structures and pharmacological activities. This paper reviews the therapeutic potential of natural products, highlighting their journey from traditional medicine to modern drug development. It also discusses the challenges and opportunities associated with the utilization of natural products in pharmacology. Additionally, tables and figures are included to illustrate the significant contributions of natural products in this field.
