Abstract:-Â The new BS-VI standards will reduce NOx, HC, and PM levels in diesel and gasoline engines. Diesel engines will have fewer NOx, HC + NOx, and PM levels. The emissions from the engines will be measured in a different way than in the previous approach; particle counting equipment will be used to count the particulate materials that come out of the engines' exhaust. Particulate matter is classified into three types: soot, insoluble portions, and soluble parts. A Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) is used to reduce particulate matter emissions from diesel engines. In this review article, we will look at the makeup of diesel exhaust gases, different forms of particulate matter, the need for and evolution of BS-VI engine standards, techniques for measuring engine emissions, and the Diesel Particulate Filter. This review study also discusses the future scope of real-time driving emissions.
