Harnessing Smart Power Systems for Integrated Renewable Energy Management

Vinayak Chouhan, Bhawana Kanojiya, Ms. Sonali

Abstract

The integration of renewable energy sources into modern power systems has emerged as both a technological necessity and an environmental obligation. As nations aim to reduce their dependency on fossil fuels and minimize carbon emissions, smart power systems serve as the enabling framework to accommodate distributed generation, energy storage, and demand-side management. This paper examines the evolving role of smart grids in enhancing the reliability and efficiency of renewable energy integration. Advanced digital communication, real-time monitoring, and artificial intelligence algorithms form the backbone of smart energy systems, providing operators with predictive insights and automated control strategies. Furthermore, the paper highlights the significance of energy storage systems in stabilizing intermittent renewable generation such as solar and wind, while also emphasizing the role of microgrids in promoting energy independence in localized regions. The future of energy security depends heavily on the synergy between renewable energy generation and smart power technologies, which together can transform conventional electricity systems into sustainable and intelligent energy networks.
