Advanced Techniques for Groundwater Recharge and Conservation
Abstract
Groundwater depletion has become a critical issue due to excessive extraction and inadequate recharge, leading to water scarcity and environmental degradation. This paper explores advanced techniques for groundwater recharge and conservation, including Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR), artificial recharge structures, rainwater harvesting, and innovative technologies such as nanotechnology and geospatial analysis. The study also discusses policy implications, challenges, and future scope in groundwater management. The integration of smart monitoring systems, sustainable land use practices, and efficient water management policies can significantly enhance groundwater conservation efforts.
Keywords: Groundwater Recharge, Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR), Conservation Techniques, Rainwater Harvesting, Artificial Recharge, Aquifer Storage, Water Sustainability.
