Adenomyosis in Women with Inflammatory Uterine Diseases: Pathophysiology, Clinical Features, Diagnosis, and Treatment Op

Abstract: Adenomyosis is a gynecological disorder that affects women of reproductive age. It is characterized by the presence of endometrial tissue within the myometrium, leading to enlargement and thickening of the uterus. Inflammatory diseases of the uterus such as endometritis, chronic cervicitis, and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) are known to be associated with adenomyosis. The aim of this paper is to review the features of the course of adenomyosis in women with inflammatory diseases of the uterus. The paper discusses the pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of adenomyosis in women with inflammatory diseases of the uterus.
