Pathology is concerned with the study of disease, their causes and effects. The word pathology also refers to the study of disease in general, incorporating a wide range of bioscience research fields and medical practices. Pathology addresses four components of disease: cause, mechanisms of development (pathogenesis), structural alterations of cells (morphologic changes), and the consequences of changes (clinical manifestations).

Communicable diseases are illnesses caused by viruses or bacteria that people spread to one another through contact with contaminated surfaces, bodily fluids, blood products, insect bites, or through the air.

Preventive medicine focuses on the health of individuals, communities, and defined populations. Its goal is to protect, promote, and maintain health and well-being and to prevent disease, disability, and death.

The journal focuses on the cause of disease which is caused by virus or bacteria and providing preventive medicines which can help human beings from diseases, disability and death.
