Abstract

Abstract

Mental health disorders are increasingly recognized as a major public health concern worldwide. This paper examines how diet, hygiene, yoga, and naturopathy collectively influence mental wellness by modulating neurobiological, hormonal, and psychosocial factors. Nutritional psychiatry highlights the role of micronutrients, antioxidants, and gut microbiota in brain function, establishing diet as a cornerstone for mental health. Personal hygiene practices, including sleep hygiene and oral health, impact systemic inflammation and neurological pathways. Yoga offers a multifaceted approach by integrating physical postures, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation, which reduce cortisol levels and promote neuroplasticity. Naturopathy complements these by utilizing natural remedies and mind-body therapies that support emotional balance and reduce stress. Through synthesis of experimental and clinical data, the paper advocates for an integrative mental health paradigm that empowers individuals to manage psychological distress holistically.
