Immunomodulatory Pathways and Genomic Stability Properties of Standardized Naimittika Rasayana Formulations
Abstract
This study investigates the immunomodulatory mechanisms and cellular protective properties of specialized Rasayana formulations, focusing primarily on Amalaki Rasayana and Ashwagandha compounds. Using an in-vitro cell assay framework combined with prospective observational tracking in 50 healthy adults, we evaluate natural killer (NK) cell activity, macrophage phagocytosis rates, and DNA strand integrity over a 90-day administration timeline. The experimental results show a major upregulation of free radical scavenging capacity, a 35% increase in functional immune responses, and enhanced cellular protection against induced oxidative stressors, supporting the traditional role of Rasayanas in promoting vital longevity.
