Agile Software Development: Impact on Product Quality and Time To-Market
Abstract
Agile software development has transformed the software engineering landscape by emphasizing iterative development, customer collaboration, and rapid delivery. This paper analyzes the impact of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Extreme Programming (XP) on product quality and time to-market. Agile practices prioritize continuous integration, automated testing, and frequent feedback, ensuring higher quality software with minimal defects. The study explores case studies of successful Agile implementations in various industries and highlights the challenges faced in maintaining quality standards in fast-paced Agile environments. It also investigates the relationship between Agile principles and reduced development cycles, leading to quicker product delivery. The findings reveal that while Agile practices significantly enhance product quality and shorten delivery timelines, maintaining consistency across large teams remains a challenge. Future research directions focus on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize Agile workflows and further improve product outcomes.
