Integrative Homeopathy in Chronic Skin Diseases: Contemporary Holistic Strategies for Long-Term Dermatological Care
Abstract
Chronic skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis, acne vulgaris, urticaria, fungal recurrences, lichen simplex, and seborrheic dermatitis significantlyaffect physical comfort, appearance, sleep, mental health, and quality of life. Many of these disorders show relapsing patterns and may be influenced bygenetics, immunity, stress, environmental triggers, hygiene practices, andmetabolic factors. Conventional dermatology remains central for diagnosisand treatment; however, many patients seek complementary therapies forlong-term support, recurrence reduction, symptom relief, and holisticmanagement. Homeopathy is frequently used in chronic skin complaints due to its individualized approach and emphasis on constitutional tendencies, stress response, and patient-specific symptom patterns. Contemporary integrative homeopathy increasingly involves dermatological diagnosis, severity scoring, lifestyle counseling, trigger management, psychological support, and collaborative care. This paper examines the role of integrative homeopathy in chronic skin diseases, clinical applications, evidence trends, ethical boundaries, limitations, and future prospects in patient-centered dermatology.
