Entrepreneurship and Innovation in New Education Policy
Abstract
The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 introduced by the Indian government marks a transformative shift in the educational landscape, aiming to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. This paper explores the utility of entrepreneurship and innovation within the context of NEP 2020, analyzing its potential to cultivate entrepreneurial skills and mindset among students. By examining the current scenario of entrepreneurship in India, the impact of NEP 2020 on entrepreneurial growth, and the alignment of educational reforms with the needs of a rapidly evolving economy, this paper underscores the significance of integrating entrepreneurship and innovation into the education system. The findings highlight the policy’s potential to bridge the gap between education and industry, foster job creation, and drive economic growth. Recommendations for effective implementation and a conclusion summarising the key insights are also provided.
