Yatharth Rohatgi, Dr. Shilpi Baruah, Jivika Singh

Abstract

Industry 4.0 and digital transformation are redefining industrial automation and supply chain operations. Predictive analytics combined with intelligent data-driven systems can significantly enhance manufacturing efficiency, inventory management, and logistics forecasting. This paper examines the role of machine learning algorithms in predictive maintenance, production quality monitoring, and demand forecasting. It highlights how real-time data collection from IoT-enabled machines, RFID systems, and sensor networks improves decision-making accuracy. The paper also analyzes the challenges of integrating predictive systems in legacy infrastructure and maintaining cybersecurity in data-driven industrial ecosystems. Case studies illustrate how predictive analytics reduces downtime, optimizes supply chains, and improves overall industrial productivity.
