Abstract

The growing concern over environmental degradation and climate change has heightened the importance of sustainability in supply chain management. Sustainable and green supply chain strategies aim to reduce the environmental impact of production and logistics while maintaining operational efficiency. This paper provides a comprehensive review of sustainable supply chain practices, including green procurement, eco-design, green logistics, and reverse logistics. It examines the drivers, challenges, and benefits of adopting sustainable practices, supported by case studies from various industries. Additionally, this review discusses measurement frameworks for assessing sustainability performance and highlights future research directions. The findings indicate that integrating environmental considerations into supply chains not only enhances corporate social responsibility but also offers competitive advantages and long-term cost savings.
