Abstract

Pain assessment and management in pediatric and adolescent gynecology present unique clinical challenges due to physiological, emotional, and developmental differences among young females. The accurate identification and alleviation of pain are essential to ensure both physical recovery and emotional well-being during gynecologic procedures. This paper explores the comprehensive mechanisms, assessment tools, and multidisciplinary management approaches for procedural pain in pediatric and adolescent gynecology. It also discusses barriers to effective pain control, ethical aspects of pain management, and the potential role of non-pharmacological and integrative strategies in clinical practice. By highlighting contemporary evidence-based practices and innovations, this paper underscores the necessity of individualized, compassionate, and multimodal pain care strategies to optimize procedural outcomes and patient satisfaction in this sensitive population.
