Infection Prevention and Management in Adolescent Gynecology and Pediatric Gynecology Nursing: Strategies, Challenges, and Best Practices
Abstract
Infection prevention and management in adolescent and pediatric gynecology is a critical aspect of nursing care that significantly impacts the health outcomes of young females. Adolescents and children have unique physiological, immunological, and psychosocial characteristics that increase their susceptibility to gynecological infections. Nursing interventions in this specialty are vital for preventing infections, promoting health education, and managing existing infections effectively. This paper explores the significance of infection control, risk factors, common infections, nursing strategies for prevention and management, challenges faced by healthcare providers, and the scope of improving adolescent and pediatric gynecological health. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based nursing practices, health education, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure comprehensive care.
