AI Assisted and Natural Language Driven Programming
Abstract
The increasing complexity of software development and the demand for rapid application deployment have fueled the adoption of AI-assisted programming and natural language-driven coding tools. These technologies leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and natural language processing (NLP) to translate human-readable instructions into executable code, thereby enhancing developer productivity, reducing errors, and enabling non-programmers to engage with software development. This review examines the current state of AI-assisted programming, the underlying NLP methodologies, popular tools, challenges, and future research directions. The paper also discusses the implications of AI-driven coding on software engineering practices, code quality, and ethical considerations.
KEYWORDS: AI-assisted programming, natural language processing, code generation, software automation, GPT-based programming, human-computer interaction.
