Blockchain Enhanced Security Operations: Decentralized Trust Models for Distributed Clouds
Abstract
Abstract: Cloud native architectures scatter workloads across hybrid and multi cloud fabrics, complicating traditional centralized security information management. This paper introduces a blockchain based security operations (SecOps) ledger that immutably records audit events, policy changes, and incident evidence across disparate providers. Smart contract logic enforces role based access and automates policy reconciliation, reducing conflict errors by 55?% in our 18 month pilot spanning AWS, Azure, and sovereign OpenStack regions. Peer reviewed consensus ensures tamper evidence, while cryptographic attestation underwrites forensic trustworthiness. We compare gas fee overheads, evaluate latency trade offs, and propose a side chain architecture optimized for high volume telemetry.
