Sustainable Development through Smart Renewable Energy Infrastructure
Abstract
Sustainability in the energy sector is increasingly dependent on the effective integration of renewable energy sources into smart infrastructure systems. This paper discusses how smart renewable energy infrastructure, including intelligent grids, automated distribution, and sustainable urban planning, contributes to achieving global climate goals. By integrating renewable power generation into urban centers through smart grids and microgrids, cities can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing energy efficiency. The role of digital twins, blockchain-enabled energy trading, and IoT-based monitoring systems are examined as future enablers of decentralized and transparent energy systems. Furthermore, this research emphasizes the social, economic, and environmental benefits of transitioning towards smart renewable infrastructure, highlighting case studies from leading renewable-powered nations. The findings indicate that the adoption of smart infrastructure will be critical in shaping a carbon-neutral energy economy.
